Working for Fast Translations

Dear translator/proof-reader,

my name is Orietta and I am looking for translators and proofreaders who wish to work as sub-contractors for Fast Translations, a one-woman translation company on-line. If you can translate from English (UK/USA) into Italian and vice versa and have the right qualifications and/or experience, you can send me your CV via e-mail as a Word file attachment. Please, read first the following information to be sure that you have the minimum requirements and in the e-mail accompanying your CV don’t forget to specify:

• your name and surname
• your postal and e-mail addresses
• your phone and fax numbers
• language combination (EN into IT or IT into EN)
• word processing software you are using
• your specialised or semi-specialised translation subjects.

PC with modem/fax and e-mail facilities

• Being a native speaker of Italian or English
• Being able to translate from English into Italian or from Italian into English

First degree in Modern languages or equivalent

or

Diploma in translating / interpreting

At least 2 years working as a part-time or free-lance translator / interpreter

or

1 year working as a full-time translator/interpreter

YOUR DUTIES:

• Translate different texts from English into Italian and vice versa, according to the company’s availability and needs
• Being accurate and fast
• Complete your translation assignment within the stated deadline (if your details are kept on file, you may receive a contract to sign for each assignment)
• Being available for proof-reading (if your details are kept on file, you will receive information on fees and methods of payment)

Choose between three and five areas where you think you are specialised or semi-specialised. If you cannot find your translation subjects among the ones listed below, choose "others" and specify the areas in your e-mail. (NB: You must have at least one translating experience in each of the chosen subjects).
